Registration is open for the Calvo’s SelectCare Grand Prix Series, which will feature 59 events over five weekends.

“The Calvo’s SelectCare Grand Prix Series has become Guam’s largest tennis tournament for our local players as young as 6 years old … to players over 55 and it continues to grow each year,” said Joe Cepeda, tournament director.

“Thanks to generous support from Calvo’s Selectcare, we are able to stage this tennis tournament to meet the demand of both our up-and-coming tennis players, as well as veteran tennis players looking to gain more match experience and compete among Guam’s best,” Cepeda added.

The Junior Singles and Aged Singles events will be the focus of Week 1 of the tournament, beginning Jan. 19, followed by the Men’s Skilled Singles and Women’s Skilled Singles the following weekend. The final three weekends feature doubles action, beginning with Men’s Skilled Doubles and Women’s Skilled Doubles the weekend of Feb. 2, followed by Skilled Mixed Doubles the weekend of Feb. 9. The tournament concludes the weekend of Feb. 16 with Aged Doubles, Aged Mixed Doubles, and High School Doubles.
